I want to let you know that you have been a very important influence in our lives as a family and provided a turning point that changed the course of my parenting journey for the better. D was born via unplanned c-section after 48 hours of labor and many failed interventions that got us nowhere. I was devastated and felt like I started parenting as a failure.

Our first pediatrician made me feel like I wasn’t trying hard enough to feed D and it was my fault that she was so slow to gain weight. Her pattern of rashes, screaming, and digestive distress started very early and none of the medical professionals I talked with took my theory about food allergies seriously. Three different pediatricians, an allergist, and two nurse practitioners told me she was a fair-skinned redhead who would always be prone to rashes, and I should just put steroid cream on her and feed her normally. I knew there was something more going on, but no one would listen or pursue the food allergy path. I felt defeated and like all of my efforts with D were for nothing, since she was still so tiny and itchy, she never pooped normally, and hadn’t slept more than 2 hours in a stretch in her life.

Thanks to the recommendation of a friend, we made an appointment with you and there was a world of difference with you and in your office. It was warm and welcoming and we were treated like a family instead of a pending insurance claim. Within 10 minutes of meeting you, you validated my concerns and were so kind to my bouncing girl. You recommended the ELISA testing and I felt like I was finally heard and seen and like D’s health really mattered to you. Once we started the new diet (after getting the results I expected all along) D’s rash cleared up, she gained 2 pounds in 6 weeks, and she slept 10 hours on the third night. It felt like a miracle and I have you to thank. You took the time to listen to me and you answered my millions of calls and emails and reassured me. You helped me feel like I was doing things well with D and that all of my efforts and hard work were paying off. You helped me believe in my instincts and continue to be an advocate for my kids and what they need, especially when what they needed was different than other kids and families. I was able to start off on the right foot with R when he was born and continued to appreciate your support and advice.

So, thanks so very much for all you have done for us. We look forward to many more years of excellent support and care.

Living in the overcast Pacific NW is very hard for this Colorado girl. So, I often have to write gratitude lists in order to align with my situation. Naturopathic Family Medicine is always at the top of my list. I feel so good about the care my children and I receive, that we’re always viewed holistically and never bombarded by pharmaceuticals.

Above all, I love how healthy we are.

I wanted to take the opportunity to thank you in writing for all you have done to help me in my quest to feel better. When I came to see you in July of 2004, I was feeling overwhelmed with how sick I was. I was very frustrated with my previous medical doctor who didn’t seem to have answers for me.

I will never forget crying in your office on that first visit, and how you told me you would help me to feel better and that you were committed to finding both answers and solutions. You kept that promise from the start

You quickly determined that although being in my 30’s I had still managed to contract mononucleosis. It was a large piece to the puzzle. When I came to you I was also battling thyroid problems and a painful bladder disease, interstitial cystitis. You listened carefully to how sensitive I am to most things and tailored my treatment plan accordingly. You also hooked me up with a great acupuncturist who has helped me considerably as well.

It’s been almost one year since I was in your office and I can’t thank you enough for helping to get me to a place of feeling better and living with much less pain. I feel truly fortunate to have found my way to you. I have not had a cold in 8 months and I made it through flu season without the flu! It’s the first time I can recall that I have had an immune system capable of fighting off germs!

Thank you for being the Knowledgeable, caring, compassionate and dedicated doctor that you are. I’m lucky to have found you.

Before I met Dr. Evans, I had a lot of strange, painful symptoms and hadn’t felt well for five years. I was skeptical when I first went to see her because I didn’t want another doctor to send me for tests and then tell me there was nothing that could be done. Dr. Evans wasn’t like that at all. She listened thoroughly and asked questions. The time she took with me and her fantastic intuition helped her choose appropriate tests and find the cause of my symptoms. It was a difficult to diagnose type of cancer, but she identified it in time for intervention and now, thanks to Dr. Evans, I’m healthy, feeling well, and have a great prognosis. I feel very lucky that she’s now my doctor. I often recommend Dr. Evans to my friends and family. She is smart, compassionate, and a wonderful doctor.

I feel so lucky to have a doctor that is truly an advocate of my health. Dr. Evans listens and then helps me make the best decisions about my care. I feel totally understood by Dr. Evans and trust her with my well being and that of my family.

Dr. Dickson was the first naturopathic doctor I have ever been too. I’ve had a great experience. She is a super smart woman and I feel fortunate to have found such a great doctor. I like that she uploads my lab results online and I can email her anytime. The receptionist is a sweetheart and makes you feel very welcome. Highly recommended!

The doctors here are incredibly genuine, thorough, and knowledgeable. I always feel well taken care of and like my opinions and ideas about my own body are respected and valued. My partner and I are both patients of Dr. Evans’s. (He has also seen another doctor when Dr. Evans has been out of town and has had an equally positive experience.) Dr. Evans regularly uses technology and books on hand to further research specific symptoms or remedies to ensure she is being as thorough as possible with my care. Some may immediately expect their doctor to know exactly what to do in any given situation, but I think that is the problem with traditional doctors: they place you into a category which they “blanket treat” with one plan. Dr. Evans respects that every has person has an individual history and lifestyle and what issue may exist for one person is unique to another with similar symptoms. I appreciate that she aims to stay abreast of the newest information available and that she provides loads of resources to you. It’s a shame traditional medicine is as impersonal as it is. I am pleased to have a doctor that truly knows me and I highly recommend this office.
